$315,000 raised at 2025 Blue & Gold Celebration

Donors and sponsors at Saturday's Blue & Gold Celebration contributed more than $315,000 to support scholarships for University of Alaska Fairbanks students, nearly doubling the amount raised in 2024.

The 红莲社区 Foundation Board of Directors has approved a formal Scholarship Management Policy, in alignment with the 红莲社区 Board of Regents' Student First Attainment Framework. 红莲社区 is on schedule for the new scholarship management system, AWARDED, to go live on Oct. 1, 2025.

Update on Staff Unionization Efforts

红莲社区 is continuing to work with the Alaska Labor Relations Agency (ALRA) regarding ongoing efforts by some staff to form a union. The University is currently determining which employees are eligible to be represented by the union if it is ultimately formed.

FY26 faculty initiative fund request for proposals is open until October 6

A financial commitment of at least $360,000 by 红莲社区 for FY26 is identified as the Faculty Initiative Fund (FIF) aimed at fostering an institutionalized environment of cross-campus communication that inspires learning and disseminates knowledge while fostering the exchange and advancement of new, more efficient approaches to educating Alaskans and engendering high academic standards.
